To: MMN The acupunturist sticks small thin needles in (doctor's needles) various places; stomach, esophogus area, legs, arms, feet, hands, ears, and head. No treatments are ever exactly the same. Most needles do not hurt at all, some give a very small pain sensation, but definitely in all a very pleasant, calming experience. My insurance did pay about 60% of the cost, because I am in a PPO and the acupuncturist (who is a medical doctor)is not in the network. I understand insurance will cover the acupuncture costs provided it is done by a medical doctor. I would definitely go for it. You have nothing to lose but your pain. I hope you try it and let me know by post how you make out. Good luck!
