Debbie - Thanks much for updating us! It sounds like you're doing just fine, in spite of the "adventures" along the way.

I'm told (but how would any of US know?) that even people with totally normal GI systems have reflux once in a while after big meals, so I can't imagine that this is a red flag. It'll be interesting to hear what your surgeon says at your final appointment. I do think that our systems will rebel more readily until we're healed, and I'm guessing that's all that happened to you at Easter. I had a fairly big meal in a restaurant last night, and today my stomach not feeling its best, but a month ago I wouldn't have been able to eat out at all, so I do call this progress. The feeling is sort of one of pressure, if that makes sense.

I agree with you re: how great advance warning about the shoulder pain would be. I'm sorry now that I didn't ask my surgeon WHY she didn't mention this beforehand. It seems to happen to everyone.
