My nightmare started just like yours,sore spot just under left shoulder blade,strange but no big deal...Went to ER with rib pain under my left rib cage,Doctor said Costrochondritis,take Motrin 600mg twice daily,GI Doctor later said big mistake..This only got worse...to the point where my whole chest area was on fire...It just keeps getting worse....I dont believe any Doctor will tell you they are Gerd related,but if you read this message board alot of us sure have this problem....Just dont be surprised when doctor looks at you like you are crazy...rolls his eyes...Good Luck
