Dear Jula, They should give you a list of do's and don'ts with this test, and it should come in the mail prior to the test, like now. Call them and ask for it. The day of the test they should tell you what to eat, what to try to avoid, don't use the microwave that day, etc. I did ask for it again because the first ph was a very good day. It was not representative of my every day problems at all. Why I had such a good day I don't know. I also ate every few hours that day. The day after I was a total mess. I did not lay down, I was still elevated on the raised bed, and using my wedge also. Other problem was I did not sleep, and I have no idea whether in my case that could have affected my test. I am not sure whether I had the reflux that nite, and it was just not that acidic or I did not have reflux that nite. This time I will try to get up the guts to lie flat. I think me and my husband will switch beds with my son for that nite. So we wont have to take the concrete bricks out from under the bed. Mind you, these bricks do nothing at all most nites to stop my nitetime reflux. My nitetime reflux Jula - it does not burn. This is one of the reasons I want to do it again. I want to see if it is acidic. If it is not then why should I go on these strong meds. that prevent acid. You have esophagitis. Then it may be necessary for you to take the meds. Do you have burning with your reflux? Do you have nite time reflux, I think that is the most damaging bec. it bathes the esophagus while you sleep. Well, hope I answered all your questions. If your test is negative, then you will have to figure out what gave you esophagitis. That is actually the most aggravating thing. Much better to have clear cut answers. good luck on your test. How long ago were you scoped? Were you on meds at the time, which ones?
