It is always a good idea to have your heart checked out whenever you have the symptoms you mentioned. However, Gerd symptoms quite often mimic the symtoms of heart disease. As you will note by reading the posts on this board,quite often we call our pain "heart attacks" and many of us have made trips to the ER to be sure that we were not having them!
