Hey Lisa, not doing too great. My pdoc has weaned me off the old antidepresant over the last 2 weeks, because we couldn't increase it - made the GERD worse. So, I am going through horrible withdrawels. Started one of the new ADs 3 days ago and this type makes you feel a lot worse before you feel better. I feel wired and very agitated; can't hardly sit still. So, this post wont be very long either, sorry. Monday they are calling me back from Castell's office. They told me it's about 1 to 1 1/2 month wait, depending who has the first opening - and I don't care at this point if I get an associate or Dr. Castell himself. My reflux, of course has gotten a lot worse throughout this withdrawel and I am taking Reglan, believe it or not. My family doc contacted the Propulsid people, but didn't get the fax yet with all the particulars. I hope it will be soon. He thinks I'll have to do several heart tests and periodic check ups. The Reglan is a bitch to take, it gives me muscle spasms, more anxiety, and makes me itchy. I'll be thinking about you on the 8th. How long does the pressure test of the esophagus (forgot the name) take? And is it awful? Do you know how the bile test is done? I admire you, how you just go off your meds and take the pain; I wish I could do that. How long ahead for the 24hr ph do you have to get off the PPIs? I will read you earlier posts tomorrow and promise to answer them, but for now take care. Big hug back to you
