Thanks for the imput. After being up all night and in tears my gastro is sending me to a surgeon. I have real mixed feelings. I did not want to do the surgery but am at the end of my rope so to speak. I was concerned about the vomit issue because if you got a stomach virus or such. I have always been very easy to hit the goddess as you say. I have been known to carry a plastic sack in my pocket when I have a flare up, now I think that was the start of really bad reflux. I think I gagged when the reflux srtarted to come up. Now I just have really bad heartburn and throat pain. I don't know which is worse the pain or the surgery. the meds are not working. Thanks to this board I am getting lots of info. Lee
