Hi,
I too was found to have short segment barrett's and one year later of acid suppression found not to have any barretts. This was confirmed 6 month later year on my third endoscopy, still no barretts. Now it has been 3 years and while I still suffers bouts of inflammation from reflux which affects my swallowing and the whole cycle starts again inflammation leads to poor motilty which leads more burping (swallawing air) which leads to more reflux which leads more inflammation and on and on. Whether the initial finding of short segment barretts were false-positive results remains to be seen.
