So sorry you got an infection. I don't know what heparin is, but I don't believe I had it.
My first meal was jello, juice, beef broth (way too salty for me to tolerate), tea (which I never have due to caffeine), and a frozen ice thing that contained enzymes. I would have been dismayed to be given a meal like yours! They gave me the same meal each time after that too. I was there only for four meals, however, so it didn't matter. I didn't really feel like "eating," and water and juice was fine.
