I have seen a new gi doc yesterday. She tells me after looking at my record that I do not have reflux. This annoyed me bec. I know that I do. She told me that she believes the problem is in my throat, ear, nose somewhere and that I am breathing thru my mouth at nite swallowing air and that that is what my problem is... and the sensation I have of having liquid go down my food tube when I sit up at nite is really air I am feeling. Nope, sorry NOT. Why is it that I cannot find a gi who will believe that this thing occurs at nite. I cannot be the only human on earth that this happens to, can I? FRUSTRATED. Anyway, she says repeat gastroparesis test in a month, then a month later another scope which I had to beg her for bec. she said I did not need it. Meantime, cannot even touch red wine, if I get black pepper woe is me, and there is really very little doubt in my mind that this is reflux disease I am experiencing. I have two normal ph tests - phooey. Those tests are not an indication of my situation. I think I just had a couple of very good days. My ent says I have chronic laryngitis, and lingual tonsilitis from acid reflux - gi says nope - tests neg - must be another ent prob...
Would like to hear from anyone with throat problems from reflux...
