My Dr. at Emory is Julius Wenger. I know very little about him but that he has been at teaching at Emory for at least 20 years. He is my second Gastro and even though I did not like my first he said that I needed the surgery after my second endo. Then he changed his tune and said nothing was wrong with me! I think he had me mixed up or something. That is why I wanted a second opinion. I have only had one visit with Wenger so he has not made a lot of money off of me but yet I have talked to him on the phone at least 10 times and he said he was very concerned about my burning throat this last time. He had send me to Ent at Emory, Dr charles Moore who I also liked. Evidently he send a detailed report to Wenger. I am still in alot of pain so Wenger said it was time to see a surgeon. I never made the decision before this week. In fact, I don't really want it but the pain never quits and Wenger said we could get into some real trouble as indicated by something they saw on my vocal chords. I guess I will wait for final decision after I see Smith. Lee
