Ron, First off this person had a ulcer, and yes it can be caused by H-pylori..however, I have said this before that I have been tested several times and I do not have this..and as far as being treated with antibiotics, I KNOW for a fact that this is the reason that I am in this boat to begin with, NO ONE should take antibiotics without a good reason for taking them..Drs were to free at giving them, I know this cause I work with Drs, and they are finding now that when someone does need them, some people have built an immunity to them and that is more scary.. In my case, I am paying dearly for this.. I think you need to do more research on the dangers of antibiotics, not push them as much as you are, I think that everyone has read your post on H-pylori, and I am sure that if they do have a fairly good Dr they have been tested for this..I know that was the first thing my Dr said too, and I was tested right away.. Again, GERD is different then having an ulcer,a ulcer can be cured....
