<<You, instead would suppress all that could be learned from sources at odds with your findings and discourage those with hopeful connections from letting others judge for themselves.>>
Not at all! If you want to show me a "source" that says that there is a link between h. pylori and reflux, that would be a great point for discussion. The problem is, you have repeated that theory over and over, without citing one study. And now you are trying to claim that Marshall's work says that, which it does not.
So what source does say that h. pylori causes acid reflux?
Dr. Marshall's discovery of the link between h. pylori and stomach ulcers is unquestionably one of the great findings of the past few decades. Perhaps of the century, in the way it upturned such commonly-held beliefs. And I can only marvel at his courage in infecting himself to prove his theories.
His work has been published in the best peer-reviewed journals, so I do not question it in the least.
All I question is whether undergoing the treatment h. pylori would help reflux patients. Marshall says no, you say yes.
And no, I don't particularly find that web page interesting, because I know my symptoms are due to reflux. That page said nothing about possible treatment for reflux.
I absolutely appreciate your concern, but let's get some basic facts straight.
