Hhi-
I have had many many tests concerning my stomach, esophagus and vocal cords, most of them pertaining to swallowing some sort of tube or another or having something inserted up my nose and down in my vocal cords (15 times!)
The easiest test, by far, is the endoscopy! Do not fret! They will put a medication in your arm and you will remember NOTHING. The test itself takes 8-15 minutes,(of course you won't be aware of this because you will be in la-la land) from start to finish and they will take eensy little biopsies and when you wake up, you will never feel the sites for the biopsies. You may have a slight sore throat for a day (like a mild mild cold type sore throat) but that is it.....you will be in dreamland and believe me, I am a control freak, but I would do the endoscopy again and again...absolutely no big deal!
