Sharon,
I was wondering if you could answer a few questions for me. I have had an endoscopy, bloodwork, ultrasound (gallbladder, liver, pancreas), and they have all come back normal. I realize that this is a good thing, but I still cannot swallow any solid food. Whenever I eat, it feels as though there is something caught in my throat or the food will not go down.
My doctor scheduled me for a motility study test, which sounds like what you had (tube down nose, etc.). Do you think that this was a beneficial test? Did you find out why you cannot swallow correctly? Can you swallow normally now? Did he put you on any medication? After my endoscopy, my doctor prescribed me Reglan 3 times a day, but just until I have my motility study.
Any input on this would be appreciated. I am just looking forward to living a normal life once again, and eating like a normal person. Not just pasta for the rest of my life.
I understand that this procedure is done without any medication. Was it painful at all? Please let me know, I'm very curious as to what you found out from your test. Thanks
