Sharon,
I was wondering if you could answer a few questions for me? I have had an endoscopy, ultrasound (gallbladder, liver, pancreas), bloodwork, and everything has come back normal. I know that it is a good thing, but I still have the symptoms of not being able to swallow normally. I cannot eat any solid food. It feels as though it is getting stuck in my throat and will not go down.
After my endoscopy my doctor prescribed Reglan 3 times a day. I'm only on that until I have my motility test. It sounds as though this is the test that you had (tube down your nose, etc.). Do you think that it was a beneficial test? Did they find the reason that you were having swallowing problems? Can you swallow normally now? Did your doctor put you on any medication?
Also, I understand that this procedure is done without any medication. Was it painful? Any input on these questions would be appreciated. If anybody has had this test, could you please let me know what it was like, and if you had any relief from the test. I'm looking forward to getting back to the way my life used to be, and not eating pasta every night. Thanks.
Kathy
