Hey Thistle, It is great that you are doing so well. I read with interest your problem with your cafeteria food. This is very strange. It leads me to wonder whether they are using some kind of oil or margarine or other cooking aide that is common to all their dishes and just happens to disagree with you now. Yet it did not before. Is it possible they have made a change in your absence. I wonder if you have someone who is a cook there you can ask about this problem. I think I would if I were you, say just out of curiousity really that you are asking, and being very careful not to put them on the defensive. There may be some condiment they are using generally. Have you tried just their salad and does that do it too? Very strange. Of course, in retrospect this is not a huge impediment to living but it would be nice if you could find out what the heck it is. This is the kind of thing that would drive me nuts.

Otherwise, glad to hear you are well adjusted to your fundo, and that you are at least able to enjoy most foods again. I am 7 days post cholecystectomy, waiting to see if I will reflux again. Even decided to go off the xanax last Thursday nite before the surgery just to see what would happen. (This is because there seems to be some link with xanax use stopping the nitely reflux, which is still hard to believe tho.) Anyway, I will let everyone know as soon as I know. So far I can say, I am relieved of a few symptoms while a few others linger. One thing tho, I managed to wear a bra today without great discomfort, so I am happy about that and hoping that problem is over and was due to the gallbladder being in such bad shape.

Many a wish for good health...
