My doctor put me on Axid which I took for three weeks. It only worked for the first 2-3 days, then the burning came back. I wish I didn't wait that long to go back to the doctor!. The only side effects I had from Nexium was headache (for the first 4 days or so, in the evening when I took the Nexium) and the feeling of being hungry all the time (no problem for me). I really have to say that Nexium really worked wonders for me. I just hope I don't have to go back on a PPI again, but if i do, you can bet it will be Nexium that I choose.
