Interesting correlation, I wish I knew the answer....first they diagnosed me with esophagitis and treated me with PPI's for the GERD. The heartburn and associated pain seemed to be relieved by that but at the same time, I was doubled over in pain (which was ever so slightly different from the GERD pain). They then did an MRI and discovered the boulder-sized gallstone and the gallbladder came out. I was feeling all fine and dandy for a little while... But shortly thereafter, it all went downhill with the GERD in a big way-- and now I'm slated for surgery to fix that. I wish they had done it all at once!!!
