FULL POINTS, Hope! "Reata.org/interview" was beautiful. There are no coincidences that you found us and we found you. Your contributions to this message board have been great. And now that you've finally undergone Fundo, you are now a full-fledged member of the POST-GERDER club! Welcome aboard. You deserve more than to be "piped" aboard by a single Bosun/Boatswain, you deserve the entire U.S. Navy Marching Band with full-dress regalia!
Now that you have the experience of the surgery, I know you will continue to share your valuable experience with others on this board. I, like you, was blessed to find this site and be able to learn and contribute wherever possible. It's easy to "take" but it takes a lot more to "give," and you have been one of the best at sharing your knowledge and giving to others. Rarely do we have to ability in life to receive direct feedback about our personal impact on other people. So, I'm here to tell you your contribution has been invaluable. I can't speak for everyone here but from my own perspective, I know a lot of people have, and are, pulling for you. Your attitude has been inspiring and your sense of humor has not gone unappreciated!
Even though I'm 4+ weeks post-fundo, I still check in to this site to see if I can possibly help another. Again, like you and so many countless people, I know the trauma that GERD can inflict and it's good to know that others who have "been around the track" are willing to take a few minutes and hopefully make a difference in how others approach the disease.
I think you name says it all. You are Hope and you have always provided hope. At least for me.
