I have been having burning in my stomach and throat for 10 months now. My regular doctor put me on pepcid which helped at first, then stopped. Then she put me on aciphex 20mg which helped for about a week, then stopped. I then went to a gastroenterologist and had several tests done. Upper GI barium xray, endoscopy, gastric emptying study, and abdominal ultrasound. The only thing found was that my stomach is slow to empty. I was put on reglan which helped for a few weeks, then stopped. I also tried prilosec which did not help. Now I am on nothing. I have burning in my stomach and throat almost all the time and am nauseous a lot. It doesn't matter if I eat, or don't eat or what I eat. Every now and then I have a day where the burning doesn't bother me much. My doctors have basically given up on what to do with me. I don't know what to do next. I am so miserable and just want to be able to enjoy life and my family again.
