My neighbor has those "heart attack type of pains". He nearly passed out and was rushed to ER last year. After a bunch tests, the doctors says he has nothing but a bad case of GERD.
He never goes fishing by himself again, just in case if a "real one" comes. (I am sorry, don't mean to scare you...)
I too have severe & miserable GERD, but not the painful type. I agree with Robin, this is no way to live(pain or no pain).
