Can gerd cause pain everyday? I have pain in my lower and upper throat and it feels sore everyday. Pain sometimes when swallowing. It also hurts in my middle back to the top of my spine. Could a severe case of gerd cause this? I never had gerd problems before this past year and am thinking I have severe gerd due to my hiatal hernia. Is this possible. Over the counter medicines haven't helped. I've been on Nexium for @ 3 weeks and it really hasn't helped. Should I try another drug?
