For some reason I got worse after a month as well. I was told that swelling occurs at different times with some people. Likely the lump feeling , which is exactly what I had, is swelling. Stay with the liquids and listen to your body. You know what things feel like. You should ask if there would be any trouble swallowing solids that the test showed. I can tell you from experience that they will not do anything about trouble swallowing solids until you are 3 months post op (at least that is what they told me and it makes sense) - this is when the worst of the swelling should resolve.
Good luck, and stay with what your body tells you to eat - it knows.
