HellO

Malabsorbtion is usually not a problem with PPI's BUT I did get wierd side effects after a year on Aciphex. I had every blood test available, I have been getting chills (no fever) and tingling and burning in arms and legs along with burning in joints! I switched to Protonix about 4 days ago no change. I wonder if it is the PPI's???

My Gi says uncommon BUT they sem to know little or care about the long term effects. Aciphex approved in 1999 has has NO long term studies beyond 12 weeks!!! You shouldn't assume all PPI's are suitable for long term usage!

Protonix( new to US) or Pantaloc ( as it is called in Europe and canada) has a long term safety profile overseas.
