Hey MMN, I posted to you below, but am posting again bec. I traveled back and saw that there was bile seen on egd in your stomach. Also you mentioned in that same post that something was enlarged - did you ever find out what was enlarged??? I think you and I have the same problem, which is basically bile reflux and hiatal hernia. And we both have no gallbladders. I am using paxil now bec my internist wanted to see if it would help. There is a school of thought that bile reflux can either be from anxiety, panic, or it also happens as a side effect to gastric surgery or gallbladder removal. So now I take paxil in a.m., prilosec half hour b4 dinner, and xanax b4 bed. Still waiting for relief. It has happened several times b4 that I had relief from xanax../ I am wondering if you and I both need that intraluminal test, and I wonder if that is fda approved and therefore covered under medical insurance. It would appear that no doc seems to know what to do with patients that have bile reflux.... it is very frustrating.
