Well, while I was out this morning, the doc called back with the test already scheduled !!!! I guess the call from my Primary physician and me telling him that " I expected better from you" got the ball rolling....He saqid he is going to get in touch with Dr Katz...but that he wants the ph results first....He is somewhat convinced that I am a bile refluxer....the enlarged "thing" is basically the "stem" where the gall bladder was...still don't recall the technical name for it...one interesting point..is that now that I have this horrible bitter taste in my mouth, my throat is doing well...no "lump" or swelling sensation...I do have a decreased appetite though...also no real heart burn in the traditional sense....This probe, I have to say, the thought of it makes me want to gag...did you have it?? how bad is it ???? They told me no meds for 24 hrs...is that standard ??? As the doc in NYC had said no meds for 10 days....maybe we do have the same problem,I'll keep ya posted...regards, MMN
