I had called the hospital where he is in Charleston, and was told they did not have the bilitec instrument, but perhaps I should call again now and see - it would be closer to Atlanta. And even that intraluminal may be able to tell something. The thing is - will it be able to tell if it is bile, or just if there is a liquid present. Because that I already certainly know that there is a volume of liquid present. And when I sit straight up at nite or get up and walk around - I can feel it traverse my intestines - this liquid - it is as if the pylorus is open and all I have to do is get straight up and it all goes flowing thru. I can feel it and even hear it. It is different than the colon noises (I have ibs also so i know the diff) and it is not in the area where the colon is. I also had loops of bowel adhered to the inside vaginal cuff that had formed adhesions that were removed during my gallbladder surgery by the gyn who worked with the gi surg. I can still feel that loops of my intestine are pretty low. Prob the hysterectomy I had in 95 through everything out of wack. Anyway, sorry to be so graphic...
