I have been diagnosed with GERD over 6 months ago. I have been on Protonix since then. Just the other night I experienced a sharp pain in my abdomin for an hour or so and then it went away. Now everyday since I have a bloated feeling in my tummy, and if I press on my stomach right above my belly button it hurts alittle bit. Any idea as to what this can be ? Is this a long term side effect to the protonix ? I feel fine otherwise. It's just a new symptom that is annoying. Any help or info would be appreciated.
