Hi Sandy!

Turn off your computer and step away from it. No one here can tell you when to go to emergency. Only you can decide when that is necessary. Of course they can give you something for the pain. They even have doctors there. They can not only give you painkillers than can give you a "G.I. Cocktail" that is green and tastes pretty bad. However, it will put your digestive troubles into neutral at least for a few hours. I for one, was at ER more times than I care to remember before my fundo. For what it's worth, a trip or two to ER ought to embarrass your GI into seeing you before the end of the month. It's too bad you think you are at "his mercy." Nothing could be further than the truth. You may want to consider another GI. You're sick, you need medical attention and you need it soon. How long you wait to help yourself is up to you. I suggest sooner is better than later. Sounds like you need to get onto somebody's radar and let them know how ill you are. Take control, demand help even if you have to sit in your GI's office vomitting until they see you. Odds are, you'll be wisked inside very quickly. Otherwise, when the pain gets so severe you can't boot your computer, I suspect you'll find yourself checking into emergency. They WILL help you; at in the short term. The choice is yours.

Good luck and keep us posted.

TTFN, Robin
