Sorry you are in soooooo much misery! My goodness that DOES sound horrific. If you wouldn't mind , could you clear up something? You stated...." I don't even know if it's a Gerd problem, wasn't actually dx with it,just mild esophagitis, gastritis, & small hiatal hernia." At last research on this I believe about 2900 websites on GERD would consider this , in fact, GERD. How do you know if you have all of those things? They obviously did a scope. Sounds pretty positive!
At any rate, you sound terrifically stressed, (duh, huh?) with all the weight loss, mom duties, etc, not to mention, you probably haven't slept a decent night in Lord knows how long. Have a look at getting some meds to calm you down for now. Try getting some Xanax (anti anxiety) and see if you can get some rest or at least "take the edge off" so that you can think clearly on what kind of battle plan you can make with a caring, listening doctor. You mentioned you don't have many choices where you live so I know even that may be your main challenge. Like Robin David said, you do have the rights to get what you need. You're the boss, the doctors work for YOU. It's not the other way around. They make VERY good livings off of our hard earned money and insurance plans. Waltz in there with a very clear campaign strategy for what you've researched and suggest that they must act on it , immediately!
