Sandy. I swear I could have wrote that. Your symptoms are exactly like mine. I too was never diagnosed as having GERD. Just gastritis, and esophagitis. I was treated for the HP, yet that didn't take away any of the above. Just made them worse. I too have a constant pain in the pit of my stomach AND the trapped gas which makes the gastritis WORSE. It doesn't come out for me either! Hmmm Have you tried the protonix yet? This has REALLY helped with the burning and has allowed me to eat. I have also lost weight and even though I'm eating, can't gain it back. If they ever find out what is wrong with you, please tell me. Because I'm sure I have the EXACT same thing :( Hang in there.
