Hello Paul, I believe I remember you posting last week in regards to the nerve pain symptoms. I just spoke to my GI doc today and he absolutely denied that Protonix could be causing the nerve problems. He basically refused (even though he didn't say it) to allow me to go on Prevacid even though I have been on Prevacid before with no side effects. I just find it so ridiculous that the doctors are there for us, and we are supposed to have patient rights, yet they still seem to control everything even if you are suffering. After a long discussion with my GI doc he finally agreed to give me some samples of Prevacid to try for a couple of days to see if my nerve pain will subside. How long did it take before you noticed that the nerve pain was gone ? I'm hoping that the few days supply that he gives me is enough to hold me over so that I can notice some change. I find it unlikely that he will agree with me to completely switch over to Prevacid. Oh well, we'll see what happens. Thanks for the reply, it nice to now that someone has found relief to these discomforting side effects. Take care.
