Hi Jim,

There's lots of controversy about digestive enzymes. Some can actually cause your stomach to burn. Digestive enzymes are mainly used in people with pancreatitis. A more natural approach would be a GOOD papaya juice form your "Health Food" store or better yet, blending your own and than drinking after meals, or during. If you go to google.com and type, "GERD and Digestive Enzymes" a whole host of "Medical" articles will appear and you will see. Have you ever thought of seeing a nutritionist? Would help!
