I was diagnosed four years ago with gastritis and slight reflux. No H-pylori. However, I was given the antiobotic cocktail just in case. That was worse than the symptoms. Was taking Prevacid but only when I needed it. The doctor wanted me to take one a day for the rest of my life but I wouldn't. This time around, the symptoms started in April and haven't let up. I have an app't tomorrow and I'm sure he'll want to take a look. I always thought gastritis was an inflammation that would heal and go away. Mine seems to come back a few times a year with this bout being the absolute worse which is making me think it's something else.
