I have worked in the ER side by side with doctors that had the bedside manner of a wet tennis ball but, if I was ever in real trouble I would want them to be the one looking after me. They knew what they were doing. What is really important at this time is for you to have the endoscopy so you can start getting some answers. I always ask the nurses in the hospitals that the doctors work in. They know who is good and who is not. This may put your mind at ease as to the competence of this particular doctor. You can always switch to another after the test. The endoscopy is a very easy test.
