Its going on six years now that I have been suffering from GERD and over the past two or three years one of the worst symptoms that has come from this horrible disease is Heart Palpitations. But they have manifested themselves as only affecting me when moving my body enough to cause irritation in the lower chest area. yes, I have been checked several times by Cardiologists and many others they say that I am quite healthy in that department. But what they do say is that I have lower cell damage to the ring but not quite Barretts. Hmmm, that sounds a bit odd for a diagnosis. Anyway, I cannot go through a day without having heart palps while eating, swallowing, bending, sitting in the car and just plain moving my body in the wrong way. If I am absolutely still then they go away and I feel fine. If I stop swallowing then they go away and I am fine.
I am quite positive that these are related to my reflux but I have had a hell of a time getting any doctor to listen let alone beleive what I am saying. They just like the answer "We Don't Know For Sure", Now how classic is that response or maybe its "Anxiety". That response is at the top of the A list! After 6 years and many doctors I have lost hope, I feel this reflux is killing me slowly and it seems there is nobody out there that I can see that could really help.
I would like to challenge any doctor to think outside of his little narrow medical text book brain washed mind and beleive me so that I could start living a normal life again. You know, there are possiblities that exist in the universe that doctors do not know about! But if you place information that has no text book proof in front a modern day doctor you will get an answer you will not like, most likely "This is not True, it cannot happen". I on the other hand believe a little more in nature and the faith of some things. I also believe that there are many things that far exceed our intelectual abilities and just because we do not understand human nature they just ignore the truth and drag on. I am not that kind of person, I will take that leap because I remember what Einstien said once upon a time. So if doctors are so intelligent then why can't they get past the text book? Does that pose a challenge of having to use your creative mind a little bit and what, that would be taboo!
I have constant fluid in my throat daily, I have a constant sore feeling in my lower chest daily and I have been living with this for years now. I have told them it was getting worse but they don't listen. They do there tests like a blind man making his way down the street with his cane. They don't open there ears and listen to what the patient is saying. Even the earth speaks and if we listen it can tell us whats wrong and what may happen. Humans are no different, If a doctor would truly listen to his or her patient then half the battle would be won already.
So I feel that I will not last much longer, this terrible disease is eating me from the inside out and I guess in todays age of insurance driven bottom line doctors there is not a snowballs chance in hell I will be cured. So I must live with the inevitable. I have documented heavily my last 5 years of this terrible illness including letters to doctors and personal notes, tests, results and problems. When you sit down and look at this data it is very organized and refernced and yet the recent doctor I seen was so arrogant he read nothing!!!
