Trying to wean off Nexium - Been taking for two months now. After about a month, went from two a day to one a day (40mg). Did this for a week. Then, started taking one every other day. I felt okay, not great and then yesterday I started feeling severe heartburn. I woke this morning feeling miserable so I took a Nexium even though I had taken one yesterday.
I read some posts about rebound when trying to stop PPI's - is this what's happening? If so, is this temporary? I was feeling pretty good taking Nexium but don't want to take it forever.
