Do you mind telling us if there are any lifesytle issues? As in, diet, over eating,obesity? How about smoking or drinking(alcohol & carbonated drinks)? Are you out of shape? The reason I'm asking is when I let all those areas creep in my GERD flared up TWICE, badly. The last time was 4 months ago when I took doses of the same PPI's you're on with Xanax and Celexa. My symptoms, having the same "redness" you speak of, are all but eliminated. The only thing I've had since is a little gas pain that radiates up in the chest for a moment now and then when I overeat.
By the way I'm taking digestive enzyme capsules and drinking lots of Buttermilk and Kefir(drinkable yogurt) for my tummy needs.
So, look me in the eye and tell me what you've been doin'....... <wink>
