Hi All,

Well, i'm one month (as of tomorrow) post surgery. I don't regret it at all, although i could still feel better of course. I have had very little difficulty swallowing things, but i chew carefully and still can't eat big meals. I have noticed that i feel like i need to burp, and still don't do that. it's like i can tell the times that i might have refluxed in the past and i just don't reflux. i have some of the nausea and bloating, but nothing that happens. i can tell you that i have become much more regular. i'm still not doing a lot of things that require stretching too much (i had an open fundo), but i have been walking quite a bit. I generally stress about things and have anxiety, so i'm not sure whether it is the foods that i eat or the stress that leads to the more annoying symptoms. (oh yeah, i'm quite flatulent, too). i'm working on some relaxation techniques and considering talking with the doc about some anti-anxiety drugs. i'm not sure about going to anti-depressents because i had a horrible bout of nausea with a tricylic (nortriptylene) and had some minor gi troubles when i started and stopped celexa a few years ago. so, i'm a little hesitant about that route, although it might be helpful. anyway, just wanted to give a report. hope everybody is doing well.

dan
