I am in desperate need of assistance. My husband has suffered with GERD for nearly five years. Since November 2001, he has had a fundoplication, 1 or 2 endoscopies, as well as other various tests. Last week he had a pyloroplasty in hopes that it would prevent the acid from entering his esophagus and while they were doing the pyloroplasty, the surgeon tightened up his wrap because it had loosened a week after his November surgery. Prior to these surgeries, he had taken every medication on the market and is currently taking 4 Aciphex tablets a day. Is there anyone in the U.S. that can help him with his reflux problem???? We are willing to do whatever it takes to get him the help he needs, but have no clue who to contact. As you can see, he is not a routine case. We need someone who is willing to perform case studies, etc. He and I both are very concerned that he may get cancer from this problem, not to mention the suffering he is going through daily.
