It doesn't sound like your GP knows about your gastritis - I would call his office today - if you can't get him on the phone, talk to his nurse and explain the situation. There are many anti-biotics available. They should be able to prescribe one that won't do a number on your stomach. I too have gastritis and as I type this, I'm suffering. Been trying to wean off Nexium with no success. Everytime I think I'm going to be okay, I'll wake up the next day feeling like it's the first day!
