I have had GERD for six years now. Two years ago I developed a stricture, had it dilated, took prilosec -not much improvement -dr said it was nerves. 6 months later had diseased gallbladder removed - less pain but still reflux. 2 months ago had stricture dilated again - dr. was horrible. I felt the whole procedure (didn't with the first). On aciphex not any better. Food still sticks in stomach. Constantly sore in upper stomach/ pain in the middle of my back - and the acid is awful. I have been on 4 medicines in three months and nothing seems to help. I go back to the doctor on the 23rd. Please give advice! Must I always live in pain? I have stopped eating some things but should I be on a special diet? What should I asked of my doctor? It seems you have to know before you get any results. First time user - thanks in advance - liz
