I went to 3 GIs that did not recommend surgery. Pills, they said...I openly protested. I was not prepared to take pills for the rest of my life. I finally found someone that was more objective and said that surgery was very reasonable for someone my age...which by the way is 39. I just finished a series of post op tests. I too have a hiatal hernia.I think you should definetly get some more opinions.
