dont stop the ppi meds as your condition will get worse,i have the same probs ,burning mouth/tounge/sore throat/hurts when talking ect/i have been told after scope,i need fundo surgery ,I have been through all the symptoms it hurts when swallowing ,breathing probs ,now the burnig mouth and sore throat,you need a ph 24 hour test to find out how much acid is comming up and irritating your upper area,I have been on ppi meds for years .but now they dont help,however!they do stop my upper areas being completly destroyed by the acid,so stay with them, and get yourself in for a fundo opp .
