I developed this about 2 weeks ago. I didn't think anything drastic happened in my life but the supposed GERD just got worse. Lots of throat clearing, swallowing, throat achy and sore. Sore here's what my doc told me. He said it is caused mainly by the buildup of stomach acid/then pressure which of course will affect the whole muscle and esophagus right up the throat, it builds, gets worse, and then spasms etc. Makes sense, it's all connected. I've been changed from Cimetidine to Prevacid. I know I"ll have to make lifestyle changes to but how do I get rid of my high paying super stress job? That's the key.
