I got that information from this board, which I posted below. It says fiber is a good source to absorb Bile. I just thought I could get more input on it from others..this was a reply to someone who posted a question in this board..

Hi JC, When you think back a few years, try to remember if you had bouts of diarrhea. There certainly is a chance of reaction to some food or even to a mild case of food poisoning. Even a bad beer can give you the runs. The gall bladder is supposed to save bile until it is needed to digest the undigestible starches, vegetables etc that don't break down as well in the stomach. Once it dumps it then shuts off until the next time. Without a gall bladder, bile drips continuously into the duodenum and through the intestines. Bile is highly caustic and does erode intestinal tissue in time. Doctors are reluctant to admit the long term harmful effect of this increased bile exposure. The best way to control the contact of bile with the intestines is through making sure that the diet includes enough undigestible fiber to absorb the bile. Eating bread, pasta, and other baked goods made from flour does not allow much space for the bile to soak up. """A coarse fiber acts like a sponge reducing contact between the bile and the intestines, allowing it to pass through with digested food. (without constipation) Whole grains like amaranth, quinoia, buckwheat, barley, oat groats, and other whole seeds are the easiest and cheapest way to satisfy the fiber requirement."""

If you are constipated occasionally, it is most likely due to too much refined carbs in the form of flour. Of course, once the hard stool is finally expelled diarrhea follows until another rock of stool begins to form. I hope this scenario describes your situation and is of some help to you.
