One good thing is that the grains will keep well as long as they are dry and cool. Hopefully, you don't have and will not encourage a mouse problem with poor storage methods. Large Tupperwaree containers are good. (Anything that will keep the humidity out and the insects from trying to lay eggs.)
You can go to a bookstore if one is open today and get "The Wholegrains Cookbook" by Diana Mirkin (I thought I already mentioned that)
In the meantime, warm up the rice steamer with a few cups of water in it, fill the basket half full of quinoia, add a half cup of applesauce and a tablespoon of cinnamon and turn it on for about an hour. You can add a quarter cup of raisins for interest.
This should come out like pureed apple pie filling. You can always taste it part way through cooking and adjust the flavour accordingly.
You are the one who will be eating it, so put on the chef's cap. Do have some ziploc bags on hand.
Happy cooking.
