Hi Arline.

I found the formula in the book "Pocket Guide to Natural Health" by Dr. Stephen Langer, M.D. and James F. Scheer. It was contained in the section about proven remedies for "heartburn and hiatal hernia." While it is for hiatal hernia relief, it's ingredients could possibly provide relief for gastritis. When I had an endoscopy done last year, it showed mild esophagitis and mild gastritis in addition to a small hiatal hernia. I can't really say that the brew helped the gastritis, but it didn't aggravate it either. Perhaps there was some benefit for gastritis.

Since aloe vera juice is not acidic and soothes inflammed tissue, and since juice from "ripe" papaya is alkaline, it may provide relief if gastritis is excess acid induced. If gastritis is caused by H. Pylori, I suspect the formula would provide only temporary relief, if any relief at all.

I used the formula while taking PPI's (Protonix and Nexium) without any noticable ill effects. Also sipped the mix while taking Alprazolam (Xanax) without any noticable ill effects.

Hallsy
