Well, when I was on Protonix, it was so strong at stopping the acid it caused abdominal pain. It felt like it "stopped everything"......hah! So, I hardly think you can accuse an acid inhibitor of the Proton Pump class to be responsible for causing what it's designed to prevent. Instead you should be looking at it one of three different ways.....1.) It needs to be stronger dosage. 2.) Your still consuming trigger foods. or 3.) Since the med takes 4 to 6 weeks to gain it's full effect.......give it more time.
